Whiteboard Pens
Due to the popularity of using the whiteboards we have used all our whiteboard pens. Can you please supply one more pen for per child. These can be purchased at the office if this is more convenient.
Slippers
The children are welcome and encouraged to bring their slippers to class. This is a good way to stop dirt and mud getting into the classroom after playing outside on the muddy ground. Slippers can be kept in the classroom (in box provided) or taken home each day.
Topic:
We have been looking into seasons and seasonal changes and how they affect the environment. Next we are focusing on Science – Planet Earth and Beyond and The Arts – Music and Dance in preparation for Arts Fortnight in weeks 8 & 9.
Literacy:
For writing the children will be focusing on Narratives. They will be learning how to write interesting stories concentrating on setting, characters and plot - creating a problem and solving the problem. They will be learning how to make their writing interesting by using adjectives.
Oral language will be focusing on presenting a Mihi as part of our student led conferences later this term.
Phonics this term we are running a phonics interchange between the three year 2 classes.

Week 10 Wednesday 22nd & Thursday 23rd September – Student Led Conferences
Friday Rooms 12 and 22 host the end of term assembly.
